We have found Denny's to have been friendly, in the past, also Panera bread and both usually have small private areas you can book, free, for meetups.

Where is there a Panera bread here? I think that we should keep the meetups local to our area... otherwise what is the point?
If we are all going to drive our autos and waste what little gas is left going down to Orlando ~ why set up a new group? |

Where is there a Panera bread here? I think that we should keep the meetups local to our area... otherwise what is the point? Merry meet Marcella :) There is certainly a Denny's near you: 16150 US Highway 441 Eustis, FL 32726 (352) 483-4300 www.dennys.com also there is a Panera at Lady lake: 1181 Main St Lady Lake, FL 32159 (352) 750-3909 panerabread.com As to travel, with a group such as yours, being so far out of town, in order to attract members to make the group work you need to aim to include a wider area so some of your members will either have to travel, which will seem as unfair to them, or you will need to move your meetings around a little to include everyone and maybe car pool like we often do for events in our meetups ;) We were so happy to see a meetup in your area as so many have been calling for them and, as you said, gas is becoming too expensive for many to travel such a distance to our Orlando meetups :( I do know that Elemental Crossings at Sanford would also be happy to give space in their meeting room if you were thinking of including that area: 311 S. Park Avenue Sanford, FL 32771 (407) 321-9633 elementalcrossings.com Maybe carpool could be an option for your group when we have a keynote speaker here you may be interested in hearing, some of the speakers over the past year have been well worth paying for the gas ;) witches.meetup.com pagan.meetup.com Any help we can be please don't hesitate to ask, in isolation we survive but together we shine. Merry Meet everyone,
I too know how it is with the traveling options, My car as is is possibly going to need a new Altenator(sp) and Night driving is very risky for me. Whenever I turn the lights, or windshield wipers on it drains power from the battery. I've just replaced the battery, so I'm sure it's something other than the battery with whats wrong with the car. But yeah, I agree with keeping it local, and in Lake county. Denny's is fine for now, but I'm sure after while they would get tired of us meeting there all the time. There are alot of options out there, there are a few here in Down town Eustis that seem to be quaint, and rather secluded. One I know of has WIFI for those of us who wish to bring our Laptops, or whatevers... I'm very excited in meeting up with all of you this Sunday, Hope to see you all there those of you who will be attending. I will keep my eyes peeled for new meeting place options in our near future. Another thing to think about... What will be our Long term goals, and Hopes? I'd like to really see us grow, and flourish. One thing is for Certain... We all need our Spiritual Boost!! Hopefully we all get along, and help each other out in that way... Until Sunday my new friends, Brightest of Blessings, and Merry Part! Billy |

Merry Meet everyone, Merry meet Billy I love your fresh optimism, I am sure you will all make this a success given time. One word of caution I would give is not to expect too much from early months, when you start a meetup it can be a battle to build numbers, people have the inclination to come to meetup's but often life will get in the way so don't become disappointed if you don't attract large numbers, it has taken us a long time to build the meetup's in Orlando and a lot of hard work to build the sense of community for our core group. Although one person has the responsibility for paying for the meetup you should aim for a close knit group of members who support that responsibility with both the donations and the work of organizing events and helping make decisions. Unlike a coven meetup shouldn't be run from the top but from consensus of those who share the load, more like a family, from there you can reach out to others with a firm foundation ;) Wishing you all love and light Blessed be Paul |

Summerfield, FL |
I will be driving down from Summerfield, so it will be quite a trek for me down to Eustis, but it is definitely closer than Orlando or Sanford, which is why I do not attend the meetups there. The Gainesville meetup is also a trek to do by myself (although I would love to carpool to the meetups up there as I have friends already in that group).
I would love for there to be perhaps a "round robin" type of arrangement where those who attend are able to "host" a meeting in their home city (we have a Denny's right here in the Villages which is only about a 20 minute drive for me). We could switch cities each month on a rotating basis. It is just an idea :) See you Sunday! Meren Summerfield, FL Where is there a Panera bread here?
