This Class N' Craft is our first, being postponed from the 4th of May. However, instead of the Crafting being crochet we have decided to make candles instead since many have expressed an interest in making candles. We will experiment with hand dipping and casting wax in molds. We don't have a lot of molds at this point but we will be adding new ones soon. At this time we have a skull mold, Venus of Wellendorf, a Male and Female Mold as well as a spiral goddess. We also have wicks and some scents along with colors for dying your candles.

The Class part is a video on Wicca and Witchcraft from England. It is about an hour or so long and has chapters to it if we should choose to do it chapter by chapter. I'm also working on obtaining other videos for study down the line. Please bring paper and pencils for note taking. After the class n' craft we will have a short discussion on what you would like to see more of or what you would like to study next. We can continue with Wicca and how it relates to True Witchcraft or move on to how Shamanism relates to Witchcraft. It really depends on the student since they know their level of knowledge.

We will be serving goodies as well as tea and soda. If you wish to bring along something please let me know. Thank you all and hope to see you there. The class begins at 2 pm at our house, please remember we have some rambunctious children. lol Thanks again. biggrin

Aw, Bob, gonna miss you being there. No, don't quit your job. Can they just switch the schedule around a bit once in awhile? Namaste!

I will have to wait until the Sabbats to participate. With gas prices climbing, I have to make trips to DSM on weekdays when I can get other things done at the same time. Sorry to miss out on this one.

Of course, I will be there for Litha @ Jester Park! I think we have spiritually marked Shelter #5 as ours, lol.

Melissa, it's ok to bring the hubby and daughter. I do have four dogs who would love your daughter and kiss her all over, just ask the others. lol.

Oh, I'm so disappointed. I have to change my RSVP from "yes" to "no." Apparently, I had forgotten it's my hubby's company picnic at Adventureland AND it's an all day event. Ahhh...I'd rather be making candles and having class with you all. Have fun...I'll miss all of you. BB, Deb

    •  Awesome as usual. I always feel at home and have a great time. Of course, there's always so much good food, because we love feeding each other, but mostly Jeff likes to feed us and keep us happy :), I ate too much! Yep, the DVD was very basic, but we have to start from the beginning and grow together. It was a pleasure meeting Dan & Melissa and I look forward to continued meetings. Oh, yeah, I had to resculpt my candle when I got home. Big Mama was a bit lopsided, but I think I fixed her, LOL! Thanks for the great time.

It was great being with everyone again! This time we got to meet Dan and Melissa. Our video ran a little longer than expected, since I didn't preview all of it wanting to share the first impressions with the group. We had a great discussion period after the video and then our candle making class. Sorry to say some members had to leave due to schedules, but we managed to have a great time all about. There was food, fun and a lot of teaching going on. I am so blessed with this group and love you all dearly. Thanks everyone for coming! The energy was really flowing!
    •  The movie was okay, it was very basic but good. I loved making the candles. I'm excited to learn a new craft and look forward to do it again in the future. Peggy and I laughed over some bumper stickers in a magazine. I was glad to finally meet Dan.
