For anyone interested in native american festivals, this is a good one to attend. It takes place July 25, 26 and 27 so you all have time. Yes the Queens County farm is a bit out the way, but its one of the better pow wows in the nyc area that you can make it to with public transportation.

Sounds interesting. Might be too hot for me in July. I usually try to go to Drums Along the Hudson (didn't make it this year). It's at the end of April or beginning of May in Inwood Hill Park.

If this is the same Queens County Farm that hosts the Halloween Festival, then no, it's not really that far out. It is easier to get to by car, though.

I'd like to try to make that event, even though it's right before Lughnasadh...But I think it's do-able. I'll bring my family, too, if I can.
